Extra services

Dutch Home offers the following services:

Guarantee service

On the majority of our works we offer, depending on the work, a guarantee of 10, 15 of even 20 years. This is not just a promise on a piece of paper. In the unlikely event it should be necessary to make use of our guarantee service, we will always honour our commitments. Dutch Home has been active since 2001 and intends to grow bigger and stronger over the next 20 years. We realise that we are building this future on our reputation and the honouring of commitments to our clients is an essential part of this.

Assistance with planning applications

Should you wish, Dutch Home can relieve you of the stress of the applications for the necessary planning permissions.
The necessary drawings will then be made by an architect and will, together with the necessary calculations and forms be submitted to the City Council. Also consultations with city planners and building inspectors will go through us, to make the process run more smoothly. Of course we shall keep you informed on the latest developments.

Personal project support

We understand that having builders in your home can be both disruptive and stressful. We and our staff never forget who owns the property in which we are working. Respect for our client's privacy is uppermost (we even provide our own toilet facilities). We aim to achieve as much as possible whilst obstructing as little as possible.

The period of the planning and execution of your project often brings a lot of tension. A lot is happening and there is a lot at stake. It often concerns a major change to your property.
To make the whole process pass a lot easier and calmer Dutch Home offers you personal support during the project. Regular site meetings will keep you informed on the progress and planning of your project. Naturally any problems that we might find, and any changes that may be necessary, can be duly discussed. This will ensure that both parties maintain a consistent and clear overview of the project.

Project management

Occasionally one of our team members is asked by both private and corporate clients to step in as project manager on a project where problems have arisen between client and contractor.

Our team member will then act as both representative of the client and as mediator to resolve the issues, with the aim to put the project back on track. This usually means that the manager will enforce the planning by setting targets and checking the progress. There will be strict control on quality (both on materials and craftsmanship) and of course assistance with contractual and financial issues up until the day of completion and the final delivery of the project.

Knowing that there is someone on the case looking out for your interests during the project is a reassuring thought.

Pre-purchase house surveys

We have found that most people find out after buying a house that, even though they had a technical survey done, there were many problems they were not made aware of. And they were faced with costs that they had not taken into consideration while budgeting for their renovation. This can lead to major disappointments because it means that cuts will have to be made and that the planned dream kitchen may have to remain a dream.......

More and more often potential clients ask us to come along when they visit their prospective new home for the second time. We check everything and go from room to room to discuss the clients wishes and make an inventory of the work that needs to be done to turn this property into the home our client wants.

We can then make a proper calculation of the maximum costs, which the client can take into consideration before making an offer on the house. Defects that were found during the survey can of course be used to negotiate a lower price.

In the case of defects that are found after acquiring a property which the selling party must have known about but failed to mention and which have been hidden, we can assist you by making a report necessary for a compensation claim.
